I’ve written a few times about my philosophy on the modern environment, the increasing toxicity of the world around us and the impact on my parenting choices, I’m not fanatically anti-chemical or obsessively organic but I do try to choose the products that are natural and free from nasties where I can and tend to gravitate towards products and companies that have more of a natural focus.
Most parents I know have at least one Brauer product in the house, I know that here we have a couple of Brauer Natural Medicine Products such as the Teething Relief and Children’s Cold & Flu Relief plus I’m a huge, huge fan of their simply awesome Paw Paw Ointment and Lip Balm. Brauer have a philosophy I love and a commitment to using natural ingredients without the nasty toxic chemicals that are often found in products so I was thrilled recently to hear that Brauer were launching a range of Baby Bath & Body Care products.
There are 7 products in the range, all with yummy sounding ingredients such as paw paw, carrot oil, honey and chamomile with good for you (or baby in this case) additions like Vitamin E and bees wax. The range is free from nasties and petrochemicals and is eczema friendly so even bubs with sensitive skin can use it and the products smell good enough to eat.
We’ve been giving the Sleepytime Bath, Soft Skin Lotion and Massage Oil a real workout, Dexter has a bath most evenings and his skin is really dry lately so I’ve been moisturising in the morning and massaging in the evening. The Sleepytime Bath is a relaxing blend of aromatherapy oils that helps cleanse and calm before bedtime which is a must if you have a very active little boy like we do – some days I’m not sure if the bath is going to calm him down or wake him up so it’s great to have a natural bath wash that helps calm him as he plays in the warm water.
I was surprised at how thin the Soft Skin Lotion is – I think we’ve been conditioned to think that something nourishing should be a heavy cream but that’s certainly not the case here. Enriched with paw paw, honey and shea butter, the Soft Skin Lotion really does leave skin feeling super soft and healthy. In addition to using it on Dexter in the mornings, I’ve been using it on my dry elbows and it’s had a wonderful result.
I have to say though, my favourite product is the Massage Oil which is just divine. A mix of Almond Oil, Coconut Oil and Mandarin Oil is enriched with honey, paw paw & Vitamin E to give a nourishing massage oil that smells gorgeous and is easily absorbed by the skin.
The range has a budget-friendly RRP of $11.49ea and for a limited time all Brauer Naturals Baby Bath & Body Care Products come with a super cute collectable rubber duck which Dexter was thrilled with, his new ducks have become firm friends and I keep finding them all over the house.
Thanks to the team at Brauer I have a Baby Bath & Body Care full range pack valued at $68.94 to give away. To enter simply visit the Brauer Mum & Bubs Zone and comment here to tell me in 30 words or less which baby care product is your must-have and why (extra points for creativity).
